John Lennon & Yoko Ono Create Perfect Harmonies

John was in thrall to Yoko’s ability to perfectly harmonise with the screeches he was able to create with his guitar.

I had never met the mad Irish girlMadelaina..but believe me, once met, never forgotten!
She is a vibrant redhead..a certain Celt..and she has Fybromyalgia. If you haven’t heard of it, well, neither had I until last week. It is a chronic, debilitating illness, with muscle and ligament fatigue being main markers.Madelaina has gained Charitable status for her venue, using her art as a fundraiser for this condition. We were invited on to the Billy Butler Show on Radio Merseyside on Friday afternoon, to talk about theMadelainartz promotion on Saturday.
For those who don’t know him, B.B. is a revered radio presenter in Liverpool. He is witty, well-informed and extremely sharp. Stay on your mettle here!!! It is always an honour to do his show.
About 60 people arrived on Saturday..Madelaina and I both chatted into a microphone, then to individuals. There was a background guitarist, and a sealed bid auction for her artwork, which includes paintings of John, Paul, George and Ringo (thus my involvement.).
Visitors were able to buy prints and posters. This exhibition is well worth a look…the venue is moving at the end of November. I’ll let you know where it ends up! That was my latest Liverpool adventure…
Good cause, great fun. Great combination!”

http://winstonlennon.com - The Beatles themed train arrived at Lime Street Station on the Liverpool loop, and for once I had my camera with me at the opportune time - So Carpe Diem or what?

The Beatles train is wrapped in images of the individual Beatles — John, Paul, George and Ringo — and iconic images of the band.

This train was designed by Merseyrail to advertise The Beatles Story, Albert Dock and Pier Head visitor attractions.

Marketing and advertising agency Creative Concern designed the train-wrap in partnership with CBS Outdoor UK to provide a “rolling advert” for tourism on Merseyside.

The original train covering was peeled back to its base layers and the new print “wrapped” around the carriages.

Neil Micklethwaite, Franchise Director for Bus & National Rail at CBS Outdoor UK, said:

“It’s visually stunning and a real success story.”

Not ‘alf…

If you wear red tonight,
Remember what I said tonight.
For red is the colour that my baby wore,
And what’s more, it’s true,
Yes it is.
Scarlet were the clothes she wore,
Everybody knows I’m sure.
I would remember all the things we planned,
Understand, it’s true,
Yes it is, it’s true.
Yes it is.
I could be happy with you by my side
If I could forget her, but it’s my pride.
Yes it is, yes it is.
Oh, yes it is, yeah.
“Please don’t wear red tonight.”
This is what I said tonight.
For red is the colour that will make me blue,
In spite of you, it’s true,
Yes it is, it’s true.
Yes it is.
I could be happy with you by my side
If I could forget her, but it’s my pride.
Yes it is, yes it is.
Oh, yes it is, yeah.
“Please don’t wear red tonight.”
This is what I said tonight.
For red is the colour that will make me blue,
In spite of you, it’s true,
Yes it is, it’s true.
